Susan Alami

Los Angeles Based Actress, Writer, & Improviser

IT ALL STARTED...

In 1999, when Susan threw a temper tantrum at a strip mall's dilapidated JC Penney. She wailed and begged her mother to stop browsing through the clearance brooches because it was almost three o'clock.  Boy Meets World was about to be on television!

And so, Susan's mother tucked her coupons inside her Nine West cross-body bag and kissed the cheek of her crying poofball. Off they went, venturing into the world of twenty-two minute parables and archetypal friend groups.

Susan Alami is a New York City-based SAG AFTRA actress. She studied improv and sketch writing at The Groundlings and Upright Citizens Brigade, and she earned her BA in English Literature from UCLA like a good Southern Californian Iranian. Her one woman show, Boom, Boom, Business!, based off her original character Cassandra Emerson, premiered on the main stage of New York City's premier comedy/improv theater, The PIT.

Susan wants to act on and write for sit-coms and sketch variety programs. She also wants to create her own television show about what it was like growing up Iranian in Los Angeles.

Her biggest dream is to jog down the fabricated staircase in a multi-camera soundstage, throw open the front door, and say, "Chet! You were supposed to enter from the garage door!"
